SPEAK LIFE

...because He first loved us

The more we recieve God's heart for us and His love for us, the more we can love Him. We love Him with the love we recieve from Him. We cannot love God on our own, but God is love and so as we recieve increasingly more of who He is, we recieve increasingly more capacity to love Him and others. We love because He first loved us.

The movement toward complete love and unity in the Church will spring forth from this very revelation. God will let His people know His love for them and they will in turn love Him. Love is a powerful force! Love is a movement. It is what sets the Church apart from the rest of the world; And soon love will move mountains all over the place.

God has called us to be faithful in the small things, to let people know His love for them. This will raise up a generation of lovers, of warriors who are passionate about His Name. A war is the reality and love wins. He wins!!

It doesn't start with giving. Rather, it starts with recieving. If we do not first recieve, we have nothing to give. We must not focus on external ministries until we have recieved God's love. Jesus spent 30 years recieving before He intentionally began a ministry of giving. His short season of giving (about 3 years) was so powerful, because He had recieved so much that He had so much to give.

It is not a sin to recieve God's love.

Let the ones who have ears to hear recieve this revelation.

Deep things

Truth is always consistent.

It's all about God.

God is love. (1 John 4:8)

Jesus' Name is powerful! (Acts 4:10, Philippians 2:10)

The prayers of a righteous man are powerful and effective. (James 5:16)

Rest comes from God. (Ezekial 34:15)

Cease striving and know that He is God. (Psalm 46:10)

God loves us apart from what we do for Him.

We are who God says we are.

God has arms. (Isaiah 40:11)

Every little thing will be alright. (God tells me this a lot :))

Real love involves sacrafice.

Nothing is unredeemable.

Christmas Trees Like Tumble Weeds

"You experience new things every day". I have found this statement to be true...

Monday, I watched a Christmas tree roll across the front yard like a tumble weed.

Tuesday, I took a shower with my eyes closed to discover what showering might be like for a blind person.

Wednsday, I worked in the nursery and 2 of the children began to cry when their parents came to pick them up, because they didn't want to leave.

Thursday, I ate scrambled eggs at a restaurant. I also did pilates.

Friday, I learned that brown shoes can dye white socks pink if you wear them in the rain.

Saturday, I cooked venison (and it didn't taste woodsy).

Today, I painted my fingernails blue without taking off my old nail polish first.

Life is precious.

God's sweetness

colors.
blackberries.
children.
smiles.
hugs.
laughter.
shooting stars.
finding whole sand dollars on the beach shore.
weddings.
rainbow fish.
fireflies.
foot prints.
dark chocolate.
piano music.
blue skies without clouds.
dreams.
fields full of flowers.

Don't settle for less

They tell you where you need to go.
They tell you when you need to leave.
They tell you what you need to know.
They tell you who you need to be.

But everything inside you knows
there's more than what you've heard.
There's so much more than empty
conversations filled with empty words.

You're on fire when He's near you.
You're on fire when He speaks.
You're on fire burning at these mysteries.

Give me one more time around.
Give me one more chance to see.
Give me everything you are.
Give me one more chance to be near you.

When everything inside me
looks like everything I hate,
You are the hope I have for change;
You are the only chance I'll take.

I'm on fire when you're near me.
I'm on fire when you speak.
I'm on fire burning at these mysteries.

When I think about God...

I think about the mental picture that He gave me this summer...

A man. strong and handsome
A little girl wearing a flowy white sundress with ruffles and lace

He was the man. I was the little girl. We were walking along a beach shore, always hand in hand. The whole time, He was looking at me and smiling. He never stopped looking at me and He never stopped smiling. And we never stopped walking.

As we walked, we would see waves approaching. This is where He would pick me up and carry me. When the waves were gone, He would put me back down.

As we walked, we laughed and danced. At times, I would look away from Him, but the moment I looked back at Him, He still had a smile on His face. He said, "Loveable, you can only go as far away from me as my hand stretches".

He is my smile
